Welcome to West Point House Day Nursery. Established for over 20 years, we are a small and independent nursery offering high standards of childcare to children from 4 weeks to 11 years of age. We focus on our children's individual needs and provide a loving, warm, safe and secure environment.

A stimulating environment

Our nursery is built on an acre of land, featuring gardens, indoor areas and car parking. We have both hard and soft play areas for your child to play and explore new things in. Our qualified staff follows the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' education programmes to provide the best care for your child during his or her growing years.
Holiday and out-of-school care

We can provide educational childcare during the holidays. We offer flexibility to work with your schedule and you can choose from morning sessions, afternoon sessions or full day sessions. Healthy meals and snacks are provided as part of the fee. We also offer out-of-school care for before or after school for children up to the age of 11.
Government funded hours available

We are an approved childcare provider for the government funded hours scheme. This means that your child could be eligible for 15 free hours a week at the age of 2 or 30 hours per week from the age of 3. If you are interested in utilising this scheme, contact us and we can explain how to claim the hours.

"Nice small nursery with experienced staff and a beautiful big garden set in an old style family Victorian house, originally built for the Stanton Family. West Point has been around for over 20 years and has a good location. It is tucked away on Kingston Avenue in Hallam Fields near Corporation Road and the gardens back onto Ilkeston football club. Really pleased with flexibility of sessions they offer and the fact they open longer than most nurseries (7am-6.30pm). They will try to work the 15hrs/30hrs funding around your childcare needs to try to reduce your childcare cost."
